PSC-2460 CURRENT POWER SUPPLY OVERVIEW

Power Supply 2.jpg

The PSC-2460 is a constant current power supply used to control the MBS model MB brakes.

The current output is controlled by a DC voltage signal.  There is an 8-pin terminal block that the user interfaces with.

Pins 1 & 2 are the differential inputs to control the output current, pins 7 & 8, to the brake.  The maximum input voltage is 10 VDC.  Pin 3 & 4 may be coupled to a potentiometer to provide the 0-10 VDC signal.  Pins 5 & 6 are the power supply input.

If the PSC-2460 is purchased with a brake, the current scale factor will be calibrated for that model brake.  For example, if calibrated for an MB-5.7 brake, which may have a maximum current of 4.5 amps, the current scale factor is 0.45 amps/volt.
